As an NHS doctor I worked in West Lothian for more than five years. I became very fond of the place and the people: where I found everydayness and kindness together.
West Lothian folk used to talk about their past – and I enjoyed listening to their memories. Their personal memories of mining villages, many of which are now no-more, particularly moved me.
This post is about Boghead, house and garden, on the outskirts of Bathgate: the garden has now become beautifully wild, and the house, well it was demolished before 1967.
