This review of the Royal College of Psychiatrists book ‘Down with Gloom! Or How to Defeat Depression’ was published in the British Journal of General Practice  in October 1994. The reviewer, Professor Paul Freeling, a Consensus panel member of the Defeat Depression Campaign, advised all his colleagues to “Buy it, read it and recommend it!”
