  1. Hi, I lived in Borrowmeadow Farm in the early ’60s. My Dad was a football player playing for St Johnstone back then (He eventually ended up at Stirling Albion) During the nightmare winter of ’63 when there was no football being played (so no money coming in) we had no coal and I remember the bed sheets would be covered in thick frost in the mornings. My Mum got stuck up that tree at the front door one summer and had to be rescued..just a wee memory for you from a long time ago .. it was once alive and full of laughter, famous footballers and what would now be called WAGS! Shame to see it so derelict.

    1. Dear Andrew,
Thank you for sharing these family memories. Guid to know that Borrowmeadow was hame to a braw fitballer! My wife is from Perth and supports St Johnstone!

It is sad to see Borrowmeadow roofless and forlorn but guid to know it was once full of laughter.

      aye Peter
