Another interesting article Peter and I wonder whatever happened to this man – we only get a glimpse of him and I guess he served his time but where did he go from there?
I am not sure what happened to him. I tried to follow his ‘career’ but his name was almost certainly an alias! He did have his photograph taken in St Andrews in the 1850s when this art was being pioneered. I would love to see that callotype! I will add to this blog more of the material I found on Professor Whitworth. He was an amazing self-promoter!!
