being and becoming in the world
I have made over 1600 short films. These films tend to be short and cover a range of subjects. The idea generally behind my films is that they should have no immediate separation into ‘two cultures’: science and humanities.
A further intention is that only by really knowing the filmmaker and following his life and narrative will you get closer to understanding some of the films. In this I intend to make the point that science too must remember the complexity of human life.
Omphalos is another name for our tummy-button, where we were once joined to our mother.
