Following a stroke, my father has been in the care of Thorburn Manor, Colinton.
Before it became a a Care Home, Thorburn Manor was the primary school for Colinton: a school that I once attended.
I recall a few memories of being in Primary 1 in Colinton Primary School:
- Miss Salmon taking us into the school gardens to sing the alphabet.
- Having a hearing-test in one of the school corridors
- Planting a daffodil bulb in a pot
