Yesterday I was fortunate to be able to accompany fellow volunteer gardeners on a visit to Branklyn Garden, Perth. The trip had been arranged by Margaret Pollock, Head Gardener for Bannockburn House Trust.
This venture reunited us with Kate White who has since become Head Gardener for Branklyn. Kate took us on a wonderful tour and shared the history of the garden along with fascinating insights into many of the wonderful and rare plants that grow in Branklyn.
I had only previously visited Branklyn in springtime so it was wonderful to see the garden presenting, in late season, a range of vivid and vibrant autumnal hues.
