Baad

On my way to Green Routes, Gartmore Walled garden, to work as a volunteer for the charity, I pass by the ‘Trossachs Holiday Park’. Not so long ago this used to be the farm of Baad, but the farm is no longer.

This is a film about Green Routes and the walled garden:

A whole garden made out of love:

I have a name that was once common. Such that there was once a Peter Gordon, Writer in Gartmore, who let the farms on the Estate. Here he is in 1806 giving directions to Baad Farm:

  1. Amazing- just entered my name into Google and found a black and white photograph of my Grandparents and father . Would welcome contact from person who posted photo.

    1. Hello Duncan,
This post on Baad was by me. I came across the photo on the internet – it was in the public domain – but alas I have not kept a record. Forgive me for not attributing the source. I tend to get lost in the poetic aspects of life when putting together my posts. The newspaper articles come from the British Newspaper Archive.

      Kind wishes
