This image, centred on the Martyrs’ monument, provides one of the best views of the “Athens of the North”.
I came across this image as I was listening to the “Streets of Edinburgh” by the Proclaimers. Given that I was born and raised in Edinburgh it will be perhaps of little surprise to you to appreciate how much I identify with this song.
