The photograph frames a bolt of a plaque and is cropped to include only two letters of the inscription. It is from the burial vault of the Bryden family in Old Calton Burial Ground, Edinburgh. The plaque is to Helen Bryden, daughter of Adam Bryden, Bellhanger:
A bellhanger was a skilled tradesperson who installed, repaired, and maintained mechanical bell systems in large homes, public buildings, and churches.
