I think the year was 1984 and my uncle, John Gibson Scott, had decided to sell his Argyll home, the Tower of Glenstrae. I was there with him at the time. I recall visiting the family who went on to buy Tower of Glenstrae. This was the Smith family from Achallader farm near Bridge of Orchy. Mrs Smith and her daughters gave us a lovely afternoon tea and were such a lovely family. I am glad that they bought Tower of Glenstrae from my uncle. It was some years later that I learned that Mr Smith had died in a tragic car crash. This post is dedicated to him
