For a film that I am currently making I have been reading through old copies of the Kirkintilloch Gazette and came across this, most confident reassurance, published in March 1903:
If I have done my sums correctly this forecast would take us 2274! It is quite beyond me to work out the carbon footprint that this would stamp on oor precious planet.
