Worn-out mattresses, legless chairs, headless beds

This is a short film about Rosneath Castle in Argyll. It was once the home of Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll.

Rosneath House was blown-up with 220lb of gelegnite in 1961.

The middle section, between the two songs, is the voice of Captian Charles Ryder from Brideshead Revisited [as read by Jeremy Irons].

The opening song is ‘Dark Skies’ by Emma Pollock.

The closing song is ‘Distant Skies’ performed live in Copenhagen by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
