DISCOVERY and EXCAVATION in Scotland

On Friday 3rd July 2020, the first day that the Covid-19 ‘5 mile limit’ had been lifted, I chose to explore Strathbraan in Perthshire.

The day was wet and the clouds were hanging low. My camera sensor even got damp! However I managed to find Rosecraig, an abandoned farmhouse, which has become a ruinous home to a pair of barn owls.

Rosecraig was the family home of Hugh and Rose McIntyre (a photograph of them features in this film). As a family they emigrated to Australia in 1857.
