Balbardie House, Bathgate, West Lothian, was the very last house designed by Robert Adam. He died before his drawings left his desk.

Balbardie house, built after Robert Adam’s death, was fully demolished in 1975.

Designed by Robert Adam, Balbardie was described as his best classical house in Scotland, the grand manner in miniature. Balbardie had a life lived short: barely sixty years.

Balbardie House was demolished in 1975.
