The above photograph is of the original Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. In 1936 a new hospital was opened at Foresterhill and the old hospital became known as Woolmanhill. I did some of my medical training in Woolmanhill, indeed it was here that I first was taught how to do venepuncture [take blood].
The title of the post come from the following newspaper entry. Obviously, the ‘Peter Gordon’ was not me. A bit before my time and management was not my ‘thing’. I was just a doctor who could only be myself!

This is a film that asks what is in a name. It is a film that goes backwards and forwards. It is film that questions what belonging to a place really means. It is a film partly based on serendipity.
