The hands of an artist

Making notes ahead of an adventure –
hands left polka-dot, felt pen, coloured.

Off on a wee adventure –
where my only faith is in the idea.

Kirnie Law, that square, hill-top, empty reservoir –
59 metre crumbling concrete walls
where the earth makes a proposition to the sky
[her extraordinarily lovely eyes]

The power of water that once descended –
3-and-a-half million gallons!
Held together in that broad, hill-top saddle
by steel reinforced walls of concrete!

On these now disintegrating walls
for Sian,
a shy paperboy painted, as large as he could:
F i n d i n g    C i m b r o n e
making a new proposition to the sky.
