I was fortunate to grow up in Colinton. As soon as I was old enough, but still at school, I took on jobs. I worked as newspaper-boy for John Menzies, morning and night, and delivered milk for Bonaly Dairy.
Yesterday, I revisited Colinton. John Menzies is now a Co-op, cars are electric, I am old, and Mrs Picken is no longer.
