Yet again the Scottish Government fails to be transparent

Last month it was reported that 1 in 4 of the adult Scottish population are now taking antidepressants [it should be noted that not all prescriptions are for the treatment of depression]. Following the publication of these ISD figures, Sue Webber, MSP asked this question of the First Minister:

Concerned about the reply given by the First Minister, I wrote this post: ‘Now over ONE MILLION Scots are on antidepressants’

I have since been shared the following response [non-response] from the Scottish Government to an FOI submission. The recipient of this letter shared it with a number of people, including me, who have an interest in the role of transparency in scientific integrity.  The recipient agreed with my suggestion that a wider audience might be interested in reading it:
