As one of our nearest neighbours, the Fountain of Nineveh, has become a symbol of homelylove and belonging.
In the 19c the village Provost put an iron Heron on top of the fountain and it has stayed there ever since. At the weekend I came across a DIVERTED TRAFFIC sign in front of the fountain. The arrow was pointing skywards!
For O-Grade English I studied ‘The Flight of the Heron’ by D K Broster. This book inspired me to read more and more!
