A UK psychiatrist, yesterday, on Twitter: “I’m thinking of using my stack of Yellow Journals for wrapping paper (I’ve memorised the contents)”
President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists: “And memorising of course”
All editions of the British Journal of Psychiatry [‘Yellow Journals’] have now been digitally archived. So paper and memory may no longer be required. However the full-page adverts [paid for by the Pharmaceutical Industry] continue to be excluded from the digital archive.
Ethical leadership, that puts science first, needs to ensure that digital archives do not leave out any of the promotional material of industry.
