“Every word I think of does not seem enough”

I am not religious but in coming across this gravestone by chance on Tuesday, I found myself tearful.

The grave is in Clunyhill Cemetery, Forres, and the words are by Patricia to her mother Margaret.

This old inscription, and the feeling it aroused in me, inspired this poem [ W A V E R L E Y ]  – A poem that considers the spiritual idea that loved ones only truly die when those that loved them die: ’tis sixty years since
