When in Brechin on Sunday I noticed this Newspaper headline outside a local newsagent. It blazoned “Smyllum Nuns’ Legal Fees Hit £300,000”. This reminded me of a visit that I made earlier this year to Smyllum Park in Lanark. I made this photo-word-history following that visit:
Smyllum was then purchased by Miss Carmichael of Eastend. She died of old age at Smyllum in January 1859
