Green’s Playhouse, Art Deco, super-cinema, Nethergate, Dundee opened on 4 March 1936.Designed by John Fairweather, it held over 4,000 seats and featured an iconic 85-foot-tall glass and steel tower. It closed as a cinema in 1968, later operated as a Mecca Bingo hall, and is now redeveloping into a live music and entertainment venue
