The Scots Magazine

My grandfather, Rab Scott, Bridge of Allan used to read The Scots Magazine.

I recall how he used to post the latest edition to family and friends around the world.  At the time, 1960s and 1970s, you had to roll the magazine up and then use a provided brown-papered band called a “postal band” to keep it rolled up. This band had a sticky surface on the back that you had to lick to seal it around the magazine. It also had space on it to complete the address to sender and for postage stamps.
