My Granny had a painting on her ‘drawing room’ wall that I really liked. It was a colourful painting of flats. As a child, it looked to me like Wester Hailes where my mum did her shopping in PRESTO supermarket.
It was a painting by Anne Redpath. To me it was original and real. When my Granny died I discovered that it was a print. But this did not matter to me. It was the image that I loved!
