Yesterday I was fortunate to be in the crowd enjoying the Open at Troon, but it was a bit cauld. The last Open that I was at was in Carnoustie and it was a glorious, sun-baked summer day. So I had been hopeful for a repeat!
For this year, I wanted Justin Rose to win. Yet again, he came close! He is now one of the ‘old guard’ but I recall his early days as a ‘wee laddie’.
