Drop of Glory

Rab Scott [1905-1979] was an orchardman in Bridge of Allan. Blossom mattered to him.  Rab Scott was my grandfather.

In the picture below, taken at Drumdruills, he stands shoulder-to-shoulder with his grandfather [Rab’s  father died when Rab was aged just seven years]:

Rab Scott was the first captain of Bridge of Allan Rugby Club:

My grandfather remained a life-long friend of Dr W. H. Welsh.

The following Telegram was sent to Rab by his club mates. This was on the occasion of Rab’s marriage to Constance Gibson in 1932:

Rab Scott, my ‘Grumpa’ took me to Murrayfield Stadium to be amongst the crowd to watch the Internationals . I recall this experience, now condensed in my memory, as a drop of glory!
