A friendship in letters

Letters, handwritten and sent by post: a way of communicating that has become more of the past than the present.

The intimacy of a letter – as shared between friends – reveals something that no academic/scientist/philosopher could  find  a better way of representing!

Michael Shaw has brought together, for the first time, the letters between Robert Louis Stevenson and J M Barrie.

I have dedicated this film to my older sister Catriona as she has always been a wonderful writer of letters.
