Empty libraries

I hate to think of empty libraries. The above photograph is of the ‘NON-FICTION’ section of what was once Springburn Library, Glasgow. At the time this photograph was taken this was the library noticeboard:

Since visiting the ruin of Dalquharron I find that I sometimes dream about it’s library: it was at the top of the stairs of the circular central tower and must have had beautiful views of the countryside:
