In the NEWS section of the BMJ it has been confirmed that the “The Royal College of General Practitioners will call on the General Medical Council to ensure that all doctors registered in the UK have declared their conflicts of interests, as part of a mandatory scheme.”
Having unsuccessfully campaigned for much of the last decade for The Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) to support Sunshine legislation, I fear that this will be the response of RCPsych:
