A UK psychiatrist, yesterday, on Twitter: “I’m thinking of using my stack of Yellow Journals for wrapping paper (I’ve memorised the contents)”
All editions of the British Journal of Psychiatry [‘Yellow Journals’] have now been digitally archived. So paper and memory may no longer be required. However the full-page adverts [paid for by the Pharmaceutical Industry] continue to be excluded from the digital archive.
Ethical leadership – that puts science first – needs to ensure that digital archives do not leave out any of the promotional material of industry.
