A senior trainee psychiatrist described one of the talks given on a recent Pennine Care Training and Research day as “really interesting and informative”. The talk was described as providing “tips around Twitter” and was given by Dr Samei Huda, Consultant Psychiatrist, Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.
In the past, a number of professionals (including myself) and service users alike, have written to relevant governing bodies raising concerns about Dr Samei Huda’s social media interactions. In December of 2018 The Royal College of Psychiatrists and the British Psychological Society came together to confirm a common set of ideals and principles on the use of social media and these were published in the Lancet. It is reasonable to assume that these agreed set of ideals and principles were shared as part of this Pennine Care Education day.
