Have I Got News for You is a topical comedy panel show featuring Ian Hislop and Paul Merton and has been regularly broadcast since 1990. It takes a satirical approach to topical news. The program includes the “missing words round”, and it was this that came to my mind when I opened up the latest BMJ which arrived through my door today.

Satire can allow one to make serious points. In this case, that despite mass prescribing of antidepressants in the Western world, there is a dearth of studies on long term use of antidepressants.
