‘Every great architect has an unmistakable idiom’

James Gowans (1821-1890) was not just an architect.

In future posts I intend to tell you more about James Gowans and what he created.

The above image was taken on the 10th August 2017 in what remains of Drumbowie workmens’ cottages in West Lothian.

These cottages were the vision of  James Gowans.
