The above passage comes from ‘Like a Cat Loves a Bird’ by James Bailey. The background drawing was by my daughter when she was at Nursery School, made for her dad [at the time I was in a psychiatric hospital following my ‘discontinuation’ of SEROXAT]. I was started on SEROXAT for anxiety, not for being ‘blue’.
An old poem, by me:
a child,
I painted my bedroom
BLUE
and scribed,
in giant capitalised letters:
‘PERFECT BLUE’.
My first shaver,
was BLUE.
My first car,
was BLUE.
My first girlfriend,
was from the,
‘BLUE TOON’.
My childhood bedroom
– that small place in the whole of time –
is no longer BLUE [except in my mind]
Colours live in me as feelings.

BLUE:
