I am grateful to Ross, Strathearn Engineering for providing a weekly update on work being undertaken on my Series IIA Land Rover.
The above photograph shows Brian, head mechanic, examining the engine [Brian is on the left].
Week 3 has involved:
- Front Axle / Swivels + Brake Upgrade
- Fuel System: new fuel tank fitted to the chassis and secured correctly.
- Engine Strip-Down / Inspection
Also in the workshop is a Series I Land Rover. My grandfather, Rab Scott of Drumdruils orchard, had a Series I. It is fond memories of my grandfather that inspired me to get my own auld Land Rover!
