Today I visited several shops in Bridge of Allan. I was taking photographs and chatting to people for the Dr Welsh Trust website.
No 58 Henderson Street ‘LOCKHART & TAYLOR’ is a wonderful gift shop [it used to be known as COLLECTIONS].
In chatting with the proprietor she said that I might be interested in an old sign and a photograph that she had found in the shop basement. I was astonished to find that these related to my mother’s family: the SCOTTS:
