Dear mum and dad,
Robert Anderson’s painting was a wonderful gift from you both. I always loved this painting! The sea and sky with humanity (I now realise that this painting depicts life being rescued). How early and late we may see.
Mum, your father Rab was not a man without his flaws. But he was wonderfully giving.
Mum, you are my sky (today Sian holds it up). It is a beautiful sky. It is a sky that belongs to all.
