Dear mum and dad,
Robert Anderson’s painting was a wonderful gift from you both. I always loved this painting! The sea and sky with humanity (I now realise that this painting depicts life being rescued). How early and late we may see.
Today I see progress bobbing in-between the sea and the sky.
Mum, your father Rab was not a man without his flaws. But he was wonderfully giving and gave you both this painting. We all have flaws! We all live between the sea and sky.
Mum, you are my sky (today Sian holds it up). It is a beautiful sky. It is a sky that is there not for itself.
Mum, your sky has no horizon and has no one vantage. But it is there! Andrew, Sarah, Rachel and Robbie are your sky.
Love Peter x
