Mary Ann Mackenzie [1881 -1981] lived most of her life in a tin-roofed cottage in Gorstan, Garve. The cottage was known as Craig Cottage, and Mary, a much loved village character, was familiarly known as ‘Mary Craig’. As a result of storm damage and consequent health and safety reasons, Mary’s cottage was demolished in 2021.
I am intending to make a short film about Mary Craig. I am grateful to the community of Garve district for the help that they have been kindly giving me in finding out more about Mary.
