Notes:
[1] I started University in 1985. It was my first time away from home. I was aged 17. I had chosen, without much thought, to study Medicine. I had a number of unconditional offers from Scottish Universities but chose Aberdeen
[2] This short film begins with a December 1985 performance of Aberdeen University at His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen. This was recorded on VHS tape and yes, it was in colour!
[3] After the Idents, Bill Forsyth appears. This was in a short film of 1960 when he was an Arts student in Glasgow. With his easel under his arm he climbs to take a vantage that looks over Glasgow. He went on to make many fine films, including Gregory’ Girl.
