I came across this photograph in the CANMORE archive. The position of repose made me laugh. The image was annotated “Professor T H Bryce in Shetland. Copied from a photograph album of M Curle, 1931-5”.
His work on the human ovum, in conjunction with Professor Teacher led to an ovum type being named the Teacher-Bryce Ovum.
He was a keen amateur archaeologist, submitting over 40 papers to the Society of Antiquities of Scotland.
