I recently read ‘The Quarry Wood’ by Nan Shepherd. What a lovely book it is.
Nan Shepherd is a wonderful writer and pioneer: her ability to bring nature into the everyday is so special. Nan Shepherd has a natural philosophy which she coveys most beautifully in the local and beyond.
