‘Here I am outside the International Congress for the Royal College of Psychiatrists. It is the second Tuesday in June 2024. I have done this one man peaceful protest a number of times over the years.
My banner asks those attending the International Congress to encourage the Royal College of Psychiatrists to uphold its values and to implement the Cumberlege recommendations.
Nearly all of those I met, including senior College officials, politely asked me: ‘What is Cumberlege?’
One can only conclude that the Royal College of Psychiatrists is not taking Patient Safety as seriously as it should’
