This film is based on images and footage taken from my camera when in Dordogne. We were there, thanks to Andrew, Rachel and Charlotte, to celebrate Sian’s 60th birthday.
The film begins with Muriel Spark, as I was reading an account of her life [Like a Cat Loves a Bird] whilst on holiday. Muriel Spark is one of my favourite writers. She insisted that ‘art is an act of daring’. I would not dare to disagree!
This film also hints to other influences, including: John Berger, J M Barrie, Marcel Proust and Michel Eyquem de Montaigne.
