In Scotland, “suicide graves” exist in various isolated, often unmarked, locations due to past laws and superstitions that denied people who died by suicide burial in consecrated church ground. Commonly burials of those who had taken their life were made on parish boundaries or in remote moorlands.
It has not been possible to determine who ‘Tuppie’ was let alone anything about his life. On Geograph [shared under common license] Andrew Curtis kindly shared his search for Tuppie’s Grave. Andrew thought that he may have found the marker to Tuppie’s grave:
