I recently read ‘Barnhill: a Novel’ by Norman Bissell. It is a partly fictional account of George Orwell’s last few years and his time on Jura.

At Barnhill croft on the Isle of Jura, Orwell stricken by tuberculosis, was determined to finish ‘1984′.
