Lindertis House

Have you climbed a MUNRO?

Hugh MUNRO of Lindertis, 1856-1919, was a Scottish mountaineer best known for his list of mountains in Scotland over 3,000 feet (914.4 m), known as Munros.

Lindertis House, in the Angus foothills, and the home of Hugh Munro, had it’s roof taken off in the 1960s, and in the 1980s it was demolished completely.

This film is for my son Andrew. Together we climbed Lochnagar. Having reached the summit, in rapidly deteriorating weather, we found oorsels’ lost!
