Being part of something larger than ourselves

I feel most fortunate that I have been given the opportunity to help as a volunteer for Green Routes. This charity is based in the old walled garden of Gartmore House. The students, volunteers, and all in-between, are just so friendly.

Currently I am supporting a young man at Aberfoyle Golf Course. Alongside hard work and learning, the  fresh-air, colour, freedom, and company have been invigorating.

[quotes from: Edmund de Waal, Peter Davidson, Nan Shepherd, Gabriel García Márquez, Madeleine Thien and Ali Smith]
