Left-behind gateway

This is a film about a house that was called ‘Rockville’. It was built by the architect James Gowans at the end of Napier Road, Edinburgh.

Rockville was demolished in the late 1960’s. Only it’s gateposts survive.

A short biography on James Gowans was titled “Romantic Rationalist”

The song “The world’s strongest man” is sung by John Grant as part of the BBC Prom production ‘Scott Walker Revisited’
